Have y'all watched the music video for Song for a Bird yet? If not, link in bio! Thank you for all the love on my debut EP, Time to Burn. It means so much to me that y'all are listening!! ❤️ #indiefolk #singersongwriter #acousticguitar

My debut EP 'Brutal, Yet Kind' is out now!! Surprise music video for Song for a Bird on YouTube (dir @rxtr.co)! By all measures of 'industry wisdom', putting out an EP isn't the move. I keep hearing 'keep releasing singles, keep feeding the algorithm, and never ask anyone to sit through more than one song.' Did it anyway!! These songs were written to sit next to each other, have done so for quite a while, and I want you to hear it as such! Working with @fairhazel_ and @yourfriendjuniper_ was such a treat and I'm so glad they took me on. If you've got 15 minutes, please listen to it from start to finish. And if you've only got time for one song, I'm still very grateful. Thanks for listening, y'all, I love you. Link in bio.

'Brutal, Yet Kind' is almost here 🌳 out next Friday — October 2!! They say it takes a village, and boy did mine show up!! So much love, time, and thought poured in my everyone involved, and I can't wait for you all to hear it. Wanted to take a second to shout out the incredible people who made this EP what it is - full credits in the picture above. Special shout-out to @fairhazel_ and @yourfriendjuniper_ who produced this album and it literally couldn't have been made without you two ❤️ Mixed and mastered also by @fairhazel_ and @yourfriendjuniper_ 🎧

I sent my EP 'Brutal, Yet Kind' to few folks, and here's what they had to say... . . Photo by @grainy.dayz_

Time to Burn, out now. This one's been living in my head for YEARS and it still doesn't feel real that it's finally yours. Wrote it with @urvaa99 and @alexaxford in what I can honestly say is one of my favorite writing sessions I've ever been part of. One of those special days where everything clicked. Then having the unbelievably talented @fairhazel_ and @yourfriendjuniper_ produce was its own kind of magic. It felt like speaking an unspoken language. I've been chasing that feeling for years and it just happened, easy, like it had been waiting. Special props to them for producing the rest of the EP with me, which is maybe the luckiest thing that's happened to my music in a while. And @shaan.ramaprasad the string GOAT. The strings on this do something to my chest every single time and I've heard it four hundred times. Video by a future household name @rxtr.co who took an idea and crafted an entire cinematic treat out of it. Shoutout to Chelsea and @biblicallyaccurateangel_666 for being in it. YouTube link in bio. So yeah. Lead single. It's out. I love this one an insane amount and I'm so glad you finally have it.

My debut EP 'Brutal, Yet Kind' will be yours on October 2, 2026. The lead single 'Time to Burn' and accompanying music video will be out next Friday!! (swipe for a quick preview) I cannot begin to express how excited I am to share this new era of music with you. This month marked 4 years back in Nashville, and the time spent here has shaped these songs remarkably. None of these songs were made in a vacuum, and I am so grateful for the many people who have lent their talents for this project. I'm so thrilled that I get to highlight these wonderful people over the next few weeks leading upto the release! Love, Akash - Cover image and music video shot by @rxtr.co
